today

I am so happy today Thank you Christine Carbonaro Freda I received my necklace, The front is the picture of Nicole that she took on July 22nd right before we went to church, I will charish this picture as that was the last place we were all together as a family. and on the back of the necklace it is her bible verse she received from Our Pastor at her confirmation. Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” John 11 25-26. It warms my heart to wear this from the time Nicole passed she has had her arms wrapped around me and our Faith. Get us through each day. Missing you so much Nicole. We love you baby girl.

Thank you from the benefit walk

Good Morning, Thank everyone who was involved in the Benefit Walk for the Nicole Weed Scholarship Fund. LIke I said at the walk to thank everyone I think the list would be as long as Santa's Good List. To my family, friends, coworkers who are family, the community, We has over 300 walkers come out on October 12th to walk in memory of Nicole. It was a see of lime green t-shirts, smiling faces and many stories that we were able to share about our daughter who left us way to soon. She was there with us that day. I was sitting her at my desk doing some paperwork and I wanted to update everyone on what we raised, Toady we have raised $9150.00 towards Nicole Weed Spirit Scholarship Fund, my Goal was to have 10 years of $500.00 scholarships, today we will have 12 years of scholarships and they will be $716.97 as that is Nicole's birthday. As I sat in Aww of al l the support our family had and the love for our daughter something or someone said to me give that total, it has meaning behind it. So that being said I want to say we are so blessed and thankful for everyone who helped out, donated, walked , made raffles , walked in different towns dear friends went out and walked while they were in Maine at 10am on Saturday, The x-country team ran at their invitational in honor of Nicole and wore lime green ribbons, the junior boys and girls wore the benefit shirts at the powder puff game in honor of Nicole, friends ran at the marathon in her honer. and I am sure there are many more stories. Truly amazing. and what and tribute to a beautiful girl taken from us too soon. May her spirit live on. Nicole lived life to the fullest, go out and watch the sunsets and sunrises, and smile and live life. Thank you all so much for being a part of this great event.

People have asked if donations are still being taken and they are. Checks can be made out to Nicole Weed Scholarship Fund c/o Teri Weed 211 east road Broad Brook Ct 06016

Summer of 2013

Wow the last time I did any blogging  was June 19th so much has happened and I don't know where to start so lets catch up.Rachel graduated 8th grade,   School got out, It was a hot summer, we left for Florida. CT had a major heatwave we were in Florida and it was 80  hehehhe,  Nicole's birthday the 16th of July, we had a week of fun and memories and reminisced about the old and the new.  We had family time it was great.  August came I started talking about having a  benefit walk for Nicole's scholarship. All the year of firsts have come and gone.  IT is still so hard to be without our daughter.  I try no to go to the what ifs because that will just bring you down in an instant.   everyday is hard  I fight to be strong everyday. I miss Nicole so much, she should be driving, thinking about junior prom and where she was going to go to college.   I am so glad that she was able to learn to drive before she left us, and I am sure she is driving in heaven.  the prom she had homecoming with Matt  her freshman year and I know she was there in spirit this past year and will be with her class this year.   and college  well we all know that she was going to be an eye doctor so she is up in Heaven helping people to see in Heaven.   This is what I have know the  years before the accident and now making new memories after the accident.  It isn't the same, but I know that she is with us always.  It breaks my heart for her sisters and they are amazing, her dad and I are getting through with our love and faith  it gets us through.  We are not the people we were before this happened.  I  am thankful for all we have and  love our girls so much they are our world going to put some pictures up of what has happened up til now and my next blog will be there walk..
